Ron Doughty – Managing Director

Ron Doughty is one of the few Patriarchs of the Cleaning Industry in Australia.

After taking over his father-in-laws small cleaning business in the very early 70’s, he very quickly applied his ethic of hard work and keen participation to all facets of the cleaning industry. His first big coup occurred soon after when he was awarded the contract for what was then Perth’s largest building – the Australian Taxation Office (now the Duxton Hotel).

Since that time, Ron has serviced most of Perth’s largest, significant, and profile buildings. He has remained a constant source of innovation and strength in an ever-transforming Cleaning landscape. He served as President of the Master Cleaners Guild (now BSCAA) three times, and was Vice President of the Property Council of Australia, WA. He is respected locally, nationally and by many high profile industry people internationally, for his Industry smarts, tenacity, lateral thinking and character.

His open-door approach coupled with his extensive industry knowledge is the watershed of the organisation.

Matthew Doughty – Director

Matthew joined Delron in 1994, having worked for 8 years in both Tourism and the Hotel industry. Whilst bringing this acumen to the company, he also came with a lifetime of being raised around the cleaning industry, with his father, Ron, having been in the industry since the early 70’s.

Matthews role is very much involved with development of business and relationships with clients, coupled with managing the strategic processes for growth. He has however, worked and lead in all areas of the company at an Operations level, and as a board member, is also a key decision maker.

Matthews expertise and diversification across industries has resulted in Delron becoming one of the largest organizations in its fields of endeavor.

Rochelle Connelly-Gould – Director / Executive Manager

Rochelle joined Delron in 1997 as Quality Assurance and Administration Manager. Rochelle was raised around the cleaning industry, with her father, Ron Doughty (Delron Managing Director), having been in the industry since the early 70’s.

In leading the Administration team of Delron, Rochelle is the authority for all areas involved with Accounts, Payroll, Quality Accreditation and Performance Management. Her unique ability to connect with people at all levels of the business ensures her flair for maintaining the unconditional integrity of Delron and its delivery of excellence.

Rochelle is also involved with Industrial Relations and Human Resources, and as a board member, is a key decision maker within the organisation.

Jan Rose-Powner – General Manager

Jan’s experience in the cleaning industry spans over 30 years, beginning her career working under the watchful eye of Ron Doughty, Delrons Managing Director.

Harnessing an awesome understanding of commercial and industrial cleaning, Jan has worked in most areas of Delrons business, including managing their Goldfields operations, overseeing diverse contracts, technical advice to industry, training, and purchasing.  She is  ‘train-the-trainer’ accredited, and an expert at cleaning-specific Industrial Relations and Occupational Safety and Health. Her ability to impart knowledge to staff, from cleaners through to the most senior executives, is unsurpassed. She is a unique problem-solver and talented communicator, and loyal to Delron to the core. Some might say that “what she doesn’t know, isn’t worth knowing”.

Jan is always available to our Clients and staff alike, and will continue to ensure that the outcome of Delrons service delivery is the best available.

Debby Strobel – Operations Manager

Debby joined Delron in 2000, working as a cleaning supervisor whilst studying for her Bachelor of Social Science and Psychology. Upon completion of her degree, she took up the position of Operations Coordinator, a title she held for 2 years whilst training for her current position.

Debby is smart and savvy operator, and is directly in charge of Delrons Operations Team. Her role entails leading and managing an enthusiastic and experienced team of Contracts Managers, who each have a portfolio of work directly under their control. Whilst measuring and maintaining performance of her team and providing direction and counsel, she is also directly responsible on a day-to-day basis for the condition of Delrons cleaning contracts statewide… numbering just short of 500.

Debby is approachable and a communicator, and will always go the extra yard for her clients.
